My Hair Story
As a child I have no memories of difficult or hard to manage hair. Although I'm not sure at what age my first relaxer was applied to my hair, I remember eventually applying them myself. I wasn't aware that it was not a requirement for young black girls. It was either a relaxer or hot pressing comb and the hot pressing comb was a no-go for me. I was so tense and afraid of being burned while getting my hair pressed and I didn't like it one bit.

On September 1st, 2010 I applied the last texturizer to my hair and declared the beginning of my journey to natural hair.
