Thinking About Injecting Color into Your Wardrobe?

Inject Color into Your Wardrobe

Viktor Rolf Wool Jacket, Prada High Heel Boots or Alain Quilici Booties, Alexander McQueen Scarf

Thinking about injecting color into your wardrobe? This is a great way to do it. Too much of a bold color can bring any outfit to its knees begging for mercy. With the exception of color blocking, one bold item in your color of choice is all it takes to make a statement. Suppose your color of choice is red. A red shoe, red clutch, red scarf, or red outerwear is all you'd need.

Marie Claire September Issue

Marie Claire September 2011 Issue

The Marie Claire September issue had me standing at attention with this headline: "Unleash your inner Stevie Nicks in 70's-inspired styles with a modern vibe..." Being fascinated with modernized 70's inspired fashion, I was curious as to who Stevie Nicks was, so I did a little research. Expecting a fashion designer, I found a fashion icon; a 62 year old American rock singer/song writer who's style has inspired the fashion world and dates back to the 70's. Anna Sui, an American luxury fashion designer, dedicated her entire collection to Stevie Nicks in the 90's according to a New York Times article dated April 8, 2009. Her designs, which grace the runways, are historically and culturally inspired.

Make Up For Ever Goes to Hollywood

Make Up For Ever Takes Over Hollywood

Who knew Los Angeles could get any better! Make Up Forever has set sail and arrived in Los Angeles at 132 S. Robertson Blvd with their new flagship boutique. This Paris-based professional makeup brand known for its highly pigmented makeup drenched in color and famous HD foundation is coveted by top industry artists.

If you're looking to learn the latest and greatest in makeup application, you can visit for an educational one-on-one with a pro artist. To dig the happiness a little deeper into your heart, they're launching a Pro Loft right across the street. There you'll be able to attend seminars and schedule the venue for photo shoots and makeup sessions. Although I'm not a make-up junkie but instead have an appreciation for the art of makeup, I find this boutique to be one of the most exciting additions to an already creatively lavished city.

This boutique is a must-visit whether you're a pro makeup artist or a makeup addict!

Wade College Experience: Introduction

There's Something About Naumi

I have the blood of an entrepreneur rushing through my veins. Have you ever closed your eyes, eliminated all sound, sat quietly still, and felt the blood traveling through your arms and hands? It's a tingling sensation that brings the function of living to reality.

As far as I can remember; as a child, I wanted not to work in the tallest, most sparkling building in the city but own the company located in the tallest, most sparkling building in the city. I imagined myself being a power girl of business and I could hear the click clack of my heels sounding off with each power step leading to my office at the top of the high rise, but life lead me in a different direction and instilled within me a fear of heights. I was heading south but life's compass was pointing me north west.

College was not a success for me because I was a life learner. I needed to touch, feel, see, and do so I put my college education on hold and headed into the land of the working. Where paychecks come before happiness and a dollar earned is a dollar spent. My first job as a Retail Sales Representative with a contemporary young women's apparel retailer provided me a start in what I never knew would be my career for many years to come.

Green Initiatives in Fashion and Beauty: Add a Little Green to Your Wardrobe This Season!

Green Initiatives in Fashion and Beauty

There is no doubt that the world is spinning through a whirlwind of Green Initiatives. Retail organizations and fashion designers cannot ignore the "go green" drives and trends towards sustainability. Although I am not 100% natural or 100% green, I am discovering ways to contribute that I hadn't considered before. Instead of venturing out of my budget or comfort zone, I researched ways that I can maintain my lifestyle while adding a little green, other than it being the most brilliant color in my wardrobe. If you're wondering how you can discover your green side; thumbs down to envy, check out my finds:

Buy Vintage: Vintage is a great way for the average fashionista to join the green initiative. While trendy and in high demand, vintage clothes are unique pieces of recycled fashion. Add a little green to your wardrobe this season!

Tag: What's In Your Beauty Bag?

What's In My Beauty Bag?
Tags are always fun to watch on YouTube especially when the questions are juicy, puts the spotlight on personality, and allow viewers inside the heart and mind of the respondent. We learn of their likes, dislikes, habits and passions. Responses are funny, quirky and sometimes heartfelt. For those of you who are unfamiliar with a YouTube tag, its when a YouTube member 'tags' another member with a question or series of questions, usually personal. Once that person creates a video response answering the questions, they can additionally tag one or multiple people.

One tag or question that is often asked is "What's in your purse?", so I've decided to tag myself and share with my readers, what's in my beauty bag right here on the spot. Here I go:
